Admission Requirements

1. For New Applicants or Transferees

a. Admission Test

All applicants or transferees from other schools are required to take a qualifying test.

For first year high school, the cut-off average grade requirements for each subject is 80% or better and a conduct grade of B or better provided that the applicant shall not have any failing grade in any subject or any of the grading periods. The cut-off average requirement for second and third year high school shall be 85% and the conduct rating of B or better. The school does not consider any applicant for the fourth year high school. Parents or guardians are to accompany their sons/wards upon enrolment.


Admission Procedures

b.1 Application Form

To be attached to the application for qualifying test are the following documents:

- Report Card or Form 138 (photocopy of the card 1st up to 3rd
grading period is acceptable)
- Latest ID photo (2”x 2”) 2 copies
- Birth Certificate (original and photocopy)
- Certificate of Good Moral Character
- ACR and Study Permit (for foreign students only)

b.2 Filing of Application Form

Approved application forms are filed in the Guidance Counselor’s office. Applicants are required to pay a testing fee after which a permit to take the qualifying test is issued to them.

b.3 Publication of Test Result

The test results shall be published two weeks later. Applicants who failed in the qualifying test can withdraw the documents filed in the Guidance Counselor’s office.


b.4 Interview of Qualified Applicants

Applicants who passed the qualifying test and their parents are interviewed by the guidance counselor.

b.5 Payment of Reservation Fee

Qualified applicants (incoming first year and transferees) are required to pay a reservation fee which is non-transferable, non-refundable but deductible from the tuition fees in the second quarter. Failure to pay the reservation fee forfeits the applicants slot in the school.

b.6 Enrolment

Non-USC qualified applicants shall enroll on the scheduled dates of enrolment provided that they have passed all their subjects and that they have paid the reservation fee. In case the applicant has failing grades at the end of the school year, he will not be admitted to the school and will be refunded of the reservation fee. To be attached to the enrolment form is the original uncancelled Report Card or Form 138.

2. For Resident Students

Admission Requirements:

• Uncancelled Report Card (Form 138)
• Summer grade(s) for the students required to take summer completion course/summer classes.
• Placement test for USC North Campus and USC South Campus
Grade School graduates. Their admission to the first year high school shall be based on the recommendation of their respective principals provided that they have passed in all the subjects and paid the reservation fee.

Note: A student who failed in the placement test or qualifying test is placed under academic probationary status. He is given one school year to improvehis academic performance. When he has complied with this requirement at the end of the school year, his status is lifted. But when he fails to improve at the end of the school year, he is placed under non-admission status in the following school year.

3. Students under Probationary Status

A student placed under academic or disciplinary probation who makes good at the end of the school year may be re-admitted.

A student placed under academic or disciplinary probation who fails to improve at the end of the school year shall not be re-admitted. The administration reserves the right to dismiss a probationer who fails to give evidence of earnestness of purpose and active cooperation in the requirements of the school.

A student placed under probationary status may be taken out from the Gold section in accordance with the gravity of the offense.
